Attorney says homeless aren't too far from those living paycheck to paycheck An attorney representing some homeless in Denver says their plight is not too far removed from people who live paycheck to paycheck. Jason Flores-Williams believes defending the rights of the homeless is defending all of our rights. He's representing three people cited for illegal camping in November. Cell phone video captured Denver Police taking away blankets from people as the temperatures were dropping. The three people received citations for illegal camping. Those are just city tickets, but the three represented by Flores-Williams want to take their case all the way to a jury. "I have faith in one thing – is when you talk about human dignity to people and the struggle of us all and that we're all in this together, I think people tend to respond to that," Flores-Williams said. "It's my hope that speaking to a jury, they'll understand the constitutional rights and human dignity are something in this country we all share. The constitutional rights and dignity of one person are the constitutional rights and dignity of us all. If that argument doesn't work, then I don't know what I'm going to do. We're going to give it our best shot." Earlier this month, Denver Mayor Michael Hancock ordered DPD to temporarily stop taking camping equipment and blankets from the homeless because of frigid weather. www.9news.com/news/local/attorney-says-homeless-arent-too-far-from-those-living-paycheck-to-paycheck/380369853
