A judge set a $20,000 bond on Tuesday for the South Carolina House Representative from Graniteville charged with assaulting his wife and pointing a handgun at her.
Wearing a long sleeved T-shirt, blue gym shorts and gray New Balance shoes, Republican Rep. Chris Corley stared straight ahead at Magistrate Judge Melanie James DuBose as she told him he was to have no contact with his wife and couldn't possess any firearms while on bond.
Corley will be able to drive to and from Augusta, where he works as an attorney.
Corley was arrested by the Aiken County Sheriff's Office early Tuesday morning on felony charges of first-degree domestic violence and pointing and presenting firearms at a person.
